Hey, anyone out there use ZoomText magnifier with XP? Last time I tried the demo of version 8, it wouldn't stop crashing my comp until I slipped through and uninstalled the bloody thing! Might anyone have a version of ZT that works with windows XP they're not using that maybe I could... hmm... you know... quote-unquote borrow?

I believe once you use the demo disc it's finished. I have ZT v8 and I love it! It hasn't crashed my computer at all except for maybe one or two instances on my laptop. But I use ZT 8 on my Win XP computer.



You can use ZT on the net just need to know how to navigate using the hotkeys. But if you're talking about the text to speech feature, it only works in documents or spots that ask for text. You would have to highlight what you want to have spoken to you and use the hotkey for the docreader. It can be a major pain in the ass. So if I need the screen read to me while online I just hop on my pacmate and let JAWS do the work for me.

I use ZoomText 8.0. I love it. It works well for me.
